Abbreviated from the Sanskrit "Buddha" (音译“佛陀”): translated as "the Awakened one," "the Knower," "awakened." Awakening has three meanings: self-awakening, awakening others (helping sentient beings realize), and full realization of practices (觉行圆满), the highest fruit of Buddhist practice. It is said that ordinary beings lack all three aspects, disciples of the voice and conditionally awakened lack the last two, Bodhisattvas lack the final aspect, only Buddhas possess all three. In Theravada Buddhism, "Buddha" generally refers to Shakyamuni. In Mahayana Buddhism, it refers not only to Shakyamuni but also to all those who achieve full awakening. Buddhas are said to be everywhere in the three times and ten directions. 2. Buddhism (佛教). 3. Buddhist image (佛像). 4. Metaphor for a kindhearted person (慈悲的人). 5. Buddhist scripture (佛经). 6.
