A general term for internal organs of the body. - Meaning: Internal organs. - Examples: heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys; internal organs; five viscera and six bowels. 2. The original meaning refers to the five internal organs in traditional Chinese medicine. - The character "脏" is a later differentiated form of "藏" (cáng), which means to store or hide. - Example: "Zang Zao syndrome" (a Traditional Chinese medicine term referring to a condition characterized by extreme emotional instability); "Zang Xiang" (the normal functions of internal organs as well as their pathological changes).
