血 [xuè] 名 1. Opaque liquid in the circulatory system of humans or animals, mostly red, primarily composed of plasma, blood cells, and platelets. It has a salty and fishy taste. Examples include blood type, blood lipids, blood pressure, blood sugar, blood traces, blood sweat, blood tears, blood wash, blood rain and wind, blood sea deep resentment. 2. Relationships naturally formed through reproduction among humans. Examples include blood system, blood relationship. 3. Metaphorically refers to strength and passion. Examples include blood nature, blood vigor.血 [xuè] 名 1. Same as the original meaning, later used generally to refer to blood ([En.] blood). 引: 1. "Shuowen": Blood is the blood of sacrificed livestock. 2. "Poetry": Take its blood. Note: Blood refers to killing. 3. "Zhouli": Use blood to sacrifice the state and gods. 4. "Liji": Blood sacrifice is a solemn affair. 5. "Gongyangzhuan": Knock its nose and sacrifice with blood. 6.
