㧺 1. 指套。古时缝纫，用皮革作箍套在指上以防针刺。 Finger cots. In ancient sewing, it referred to a leather cover worn on the finger to prevent needle pricks. 《説文•手部》：“㧺，縫指㧺也。”段玉裁注：“縫指㧺者，謂以鍼紩衣之人恐鍼之栔其指，用韋為箍，韜於指以藉之也。” "In the Shuowen: '㧺 refers to the finger cot used in sewing.'
